Steve Thornton Smith
Chief Executive Officer
Steve is the founder and CEO of Juvenaire. In the past twenty years he
has built the business from a small enterprise to the largest independent
restoration company in Queensland.
Juvenaire’s success and longevity can be attributed to Steve’s
focus on five key strategies - grow organically, invest in staff development,
use the best methods and equipment to do the job, maintain high standards
and, above all, deliver to the satisfaction of the customer. The company’s
recent move to the state of the art facilities at Archerfield is testament
to the success of the business under Steve’s leadership.
Steve is recognised as an expert in the restoration industry. He has achieved
this status from years of hands on experience coupled with his depth of
knowledge acquired though research and practical application across all
four areas of disaster recovery and restoration.
Peter Cooper
General Manager
Peter has been part of the senior management team at Juvenaire for 6 years.
In this role Peter manages the claims and the day to day operations of
the business.
Since taking on the role as General Manager Peter has seen the company
expand its services and increase it’s annual turnover significantly
making Juvenaire Queensland’s premier restoration company.
Prior to joining Juvenaire, Peter was the purchasing officer for a large
statewide grocery wholesale company for 21 years where he managed a dynamic
team of 20 staff. In his time at this organisation he saw the company
turnover increase from $29 million per annum to $365 million. Peter brings
to the Juvenaire team the management experience and expertise that assures
a quality of service to the customer at all times.
Vicki Gibson
Office Manager
Vicki has 20 years experience in the banking sector. Her expertise includes
office management and the management of customer relationship teams.
As the office manager at Juvenaire Vicki ‘s role is to manage the
business processes so the claims are dealt with speedily and accurately
from the initial contact through to the claims being finalised with the
customer. Her staff work s directly with the customer and with the Juvenaire
on site teams to ensure the claims process is coordinated and thorough.
Kristy Merchant
Finance Officer
Kristy has more than 10 years experience in business administration. Prior
to joining Juvenaire, Kristy held co ordination and management roles for
national companies where her skills in financial management and her ability
to develop and implement in-house data base systems resulted in improved
performance for the business unit.
Kristy brings to the Juvenaire team the expertise to manage the day to
day financial operations of the organisation and an ability to build a
positive rapport with customers.
David Saunders
Claim Assist Technical Support
David has more than 12 years experience in the restoration industry with
extensive expertise in water and fire damage. He has worked for 7 years
with Juvenaire and provides a key role in managing the on site teams to
ensure the restoration is done effectively and efficiently. David’s
experience in the restoration industry covers a wide range of disaster
situations from domestic to large commercial sites.
Regional Supervisors
Steve Newman
Supervisor – Gold Coast Region
Steve has over 10 years experience in project management. His management
skills and his ability to communicate with all stakeholders are invaluable
when dealing with disaster recovery and restoration.
For the past 3 years, Steve has managed claims in the Gold Coast Region
for Juvenaire. Before joining our team, Steve was a supervisor at one
of Australia’s largest boat building companies where he was responsible
for the final quality assurance of each luxury boat prior to handover.
Shane Scott
Supervisor - Sunshine Coast Region
Shane has over 10 years experience in the disaster recovery and restoration
industry. He joined Juvenaire 7 years ago as a key water damage and restoration
technician.
Shane’s knowledge and first hand experience as well as his skills
in communicating have since been recognised with his appointment as a
regional supervisor. Shane works closely with all stakeholders including
clients and the claim adjusters in order to achieve the optimum result.
